"We have no doubt a whole new generation of consumers will jump into the controller free era, making it accessible to people who have never before picked up a game controller. We see it as an opportunity for families to come together, bridging the generation gap when it comes to technology," said Frazer Scott, Head of Xbox, Microsoft New Zealand .

Launch packages include an Xbox 360 250GB console, a Kinect sensor and Kinect Adventuresgame for $599.

Current Xbox 360 owners can purchase the Kinect sensor for $229.00 bundled with the Kinect Adventures game.
