New Zealand memes: We think we're real funny

We New Zealanders love the internet, and we have a pretty good sense of humour, too. We've created loads of memes (or been the subject of them) over the past couple of years, and PC World has gathered a few of the better ones for your perusal. Feel like one's missing? Let us know in the comments.

Can't hug every cat!

We're sure you've heard of the Gregory Brothers - aka Auto-tune the News - by now. If not, they're a group of musicians who "songify" viral internet videos, and have gone viral in their own right. They now tour and make money off of their silly videos they post on YouTube - pretty cool job, if you ask me.

The group's latest effort is a parody of a (probably fake) video blog a woman posted on OKCupid.com, expressing her insane amount of love for cats. You can check out the song (and the original video) after the jump.

The wonderful world of bad tech reporting

Whenever I look at mainstream news websites for tech news, I can't help but have a little chuckle. When did Digg founder Kevin Rose become just a "blogger"? And when did Vint Cerf, who created IPv4, become just a "Google chief"? Surely we can do better than that.

I won't even get into the fact that the switch to IPv6 is being referred to as "internet armageddon".

What funny things do you guys notice tech reporters doing which is a bit silly, or just plain incorrect?
