In a media release about the impending launch, Lenovo said the all-in-one ThinkCentre A70z would save businesses up to 70% more space than traditional tower desktops and reduce power costs by up to $90 per computer annually compared to previous Lenovo desktops.

And with lower spec models of the A70z starting at a recommended retail price of just $1,199, it's relatively affordable. For that price, buyers will get a A70z with a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 320GB hard-drive, integrated graphics card, DVD drive and a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam with microphone.

Variations will be available with extras including higher powered processers, optional Wi-Fi and up to 500GB of storage space.

Seagate Replica may prevent the backup blues

We all know it's wise to backup files regularly to avoid losing them when that inevitable computer failure hits us, but how easy is it to forget to do it? Enter Seagate Replica - an automatic and continuous backup system that copies every file from your computer onto its backup drive.

A Seagate media release said the device performed a continuous download, removing the need to spend time deciding which of your files still needed to be saved.

"Simply connect a single USB cable, click OK to the software license and the entire PC is backed up, not just individual files and folders. After this simple action of accepting the software license, the Replica Backup System continues to run behind-the-scenes, so that no further interaction with the application is required."

The Replica can be purchased in two versions - one designed to hook up to a single PC and the other designed to backup multiple PCs.

The 500GB multi-PC version of Seagate Replica comes with a dock and has a recommended retail price of $199. A 250GB single-PC version of the Seagate Replica, recommended for use with an individual laptop or desktop computer, is available in New Zealand with a recommended retail price of $149.
