Where can I buy the iPad 2?
We can't tell you where you can buy an iPad 2,yet. But we can tell you where we think you'll be able to buy it from 5pm today.

Apple is notorious for keeping quiet on where its products are launching until it's actually launched, and today's iPad 2 debut is no exception. We can't tell you for sure where to buy an iPad 2, and if you head to one of these stores and can't get one, we're sorry! To be completely upfront here: there are no guarantees, only rumours, speculation and conjecture.
However, Apple does have authorised resellers in New Zealand (all of whom will not confirm they'll be carrying the iPad 2, but they're not denying it either). Those resellers are:
Yoobee/Magnum Mac
Ubertec - Parnell, Auckland
TECHNIQ - Hamilton
Technology Centre - Tauranga
iPad fans are already lined up outside Yoobee in Newmarket, Auckland, according to 3 News, and you'll notice an interesting quote in there from an Apple spokesperson:
"All I can say is that we're closing the store at 3pm and reopening it at 5pm."
You'll also notice Ubertec is even pushing the iPad 2 on their website. When I called the store, the manager said, "Apple has released a press release, which I'm sure you've seen, saying that the iPad 2 will be on sale from 5pm but I can't confirm we'll have it." That certainly sounds like an implication, no?
If you don't have one of those stores near you, we've also been hearing unconfirmed reports that Dick Smith Electronics will be carrying it, but since DSE isn't in the top tier of Apple resellers, we'd go for Yoobee/Magnum Mac where possible.
